How to Configure the About Section

Visit Dashboard>Appearance>Widgets and drag a Text Widget to the About Section.
Paste the following code into the text widget:

<div class="two-thirds first"><img class="alignleft" height="140" src="http://www.briangardner.com/wp-content/uploads/profile.png" alt="Brian Gardner" />My name is Brian Gardner and I created this site. Call it a playground, of sorts, for my wandering mind to unravel itself into paragraph form. I love to write - in fact, I've always loved to write. When I was younger, it was an exit strategy. It was a way to let go of reality and enter a world that, for me, meant peace. So here's a little about who I am, and what I love...

Starbucks Addict. Sarah McLachlan Fan. Nomad Theorist. Lover of WordPress. Founder of StudioPress. I've always thrived on the fact that I consider myself an intellectual and found myself at an early age enjoying the literary works of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_David_Thoreau">Henry David Thoreau</a>. In case you didn't know, he wrote a book called Walden, where he uttered words that resonate with so many of us:

<blockquote>I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.</blockquote>

That is what this website is all about - me living deliberately. I believe that life is more colorful in black and white which is why I've chosen to post images here that are without color. It leaves more to the imagination, which is ultimately what I want this website to become. A place for people to read, write and imagine. Welcome to my home, make yourself comfortable...</div>

Scribble takes a new approach to navigation menus, and uses defined classes in the menu. It’s important to use the classes as named, or else your menu and home page won’t function properly. The hashed link are coded in the home.php file.

Begin creating your Header Navigation menu. (For a refresher on creating menus, follow this tutorial: How to use navigation menus )

Copy/Paste code for menu items will appear below the final step.

Make sure your Screen Options show CSS Classes as enabled, as shown in the screenshot below:

Once your menu is configured, save it and visit Dashboard>Appearance>Widgets. Drag a Custom Menu widget to the Header section.
